Moonstone comes in a wide variety of colors. Rainbow moonstone typically appears as a white, milky crystal with various levels of translucency. Common rainbow moonstone will appear white with various tan or nude colored inclusions. You will notice a shine of blue or pink flash when placed in certain angles of light.

Origin: Labrador, Canada but is now found in Madagascar, Australia, the Ukraine, Norway, Finland, Sicily.

Variety: Potassium aluminum silicate

Mohs Hardness: 6 - 6.5
