Septarian Sphere

Composed of aragonite (brown), calcite (yellow), and limestone (gray), Septarian is a stone that is thought to have been developed during the Cretaceous era (50 - 70 million years ago) when sea levels were much higher. Small marine mammals that died due to volcanic and other seismic activity, sunk to the bottom of the sea where they mixed with the minerals there as they decomposed. Over time, the sediments on the sea floor that had mixed together created a mud ball, so that by the time the waters receded, these mud balls made of decomposed sea creatures and other stones were left to dry and harden, creating Septarian! Basically this stone is made of dinosaurs and ancient stones! 🐢🌊🐊 Read more below!
