Analysis
The Sun and Moon meet for their monthly conjunction in the earthy fixed sign of Taurus. The Moon is considered to be exalted in the sign of Taurus, bringing about an extra boost of pleasure and abundance. Taurus rules over banking, currency, agriculture, and all that we reap from the soil. Earthly delights like food, scent, and material gains are found here as well. What’s unusual about this lunation is how exceptionally close the Sun and Moon are to reactive Uranus. Uranus has been in the sign of Taurus since the Spring of 2018. This change has brought about a handful of futuristic and unexpected jolts from the cosmos. From plus-sized beauty fads to the rise in cryptocurrency, Uranus has made quite a statement in today’s business world. One may suggest the recent fluctuation in the Markets is in part due to Uranus in Taurus. As April progresses, we may see more fluctuations ahead. One thing is for sure with this Planet, we have learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to love and finance. Uranus loves chaos, and for a good reason. It’s one and only intention; to set us free.
Both the Sun and Moon in Taurus make aspects to the Moon’s lunar nodes. They both trine the south node in Capricorn, suggesting a need to release or lett go of something willingly. Likely this was something old and outdated anyways. The Sun trine is a representation of the physical release, from the ego’s perspective, while the Moon trine the south node is the collective emotional consciousness. It’s safe to say as a result of this lunation; many will be feeling the emotional and physical rearrangement of their values. Financial circumstances for some will prove fertile, perfect for planting new seeds for their financial future. However, for others, the growing tensions of a delicate financial situation may come to ahead. Due to Saturn’s square to the Sun, Moon, and Uranus, the public’s patience with a lack of financial support is likely to grow thin. People will protest or start becoming desperate to go back to work. Finances for some will be in short supply. The economic transition will not be smooth for some. As we make our way further into May, once the Sun in Taurus connects to both Jupiter and Pluto, I expect financial situations to improve for many.
Mercury in the fiery sign of Aries squares off with intense Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn, highlighting our subconscious fears. Obsession and repetitive negative thought patterns are likely to surface as a result of this square. I encourage you to observe and take note of where you can break that vicious cycle. If you find yourself thinking in circles, unwilling to let certain situations go, you’ve found your vicious cycle to break. Meditation and mindfulness are necessary steps in reprogramming your frame of mind. Ask yourself, how much are you willing to let fear control your life? Indeed, a small percentage of fear is welcome to come along for the ride; for some, it may even prove to be motivating. But under no circumstance is fear allowed to run the show. It’s time to keep things moving. Those days are long gone. Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus at the time of the New Moon shows us where old, outdated ideas no longer serve us, and we need to reach for solutions that are new and innovative. Hopefully, solutions that assist everyone, not just a specific few. Think collectively.
Venus is in the air sign of Gemini working its way into a beautiful square in harmony with Mars in Aquarius. When these two link up, the divine lovers make magic happen. In air signs, these two open up the lines of communication to get the point across. I expect media, blogs, and social media to be ablaze with financial headlines and new information about global funding. Many will take to their keyboards to exchange data, news, and points of view. Those capable of lending a helping hand may very well do so by raising awareness or the funds for those in need. Communication among partnerships and romantic relationships will be direct, swift, and passionate. The sign of Aquarius brings about a community connection, helping us stick together and flush out new ideas. Venus, in positive aspect at the time of this New Moon, is essential, as Venus rules Taurus. This sets the stage for a more durable, and more fiscally sound next month ahead. Intentions set now for new financial and material gains are exceptionally potent; you never know where lightning may strike and provide you with an unexpected surprise.

Abundance Herbal Blend and Oil
The Taurus New Moon is one of the best times of the annual year to perform any money or abundance magic. This is an especially potent time to blend together oil or herbal blends to capture the energy to use these products all year long.
You will need:
- Equal parts dry herbs: Cedar, Patchouli, Rosemary, Clove, Cinnamon, Allspice, Bay
- Magnetic sand
- Gold or silver glitter
- Glass jar with lid (to store dry herbal blend)
- Amber Bottle (to store magic oil blend)
- Almond Oil
- Shredded up one or two dollar bill
- Ginger or Orange essential oil, five drops
- Small piece of pyrite and/ or citrine (small enough to fit inside the bottle)
- Green or white candle
- Labels and Pen
Pro Tip: Perform this work the evening of, or the day after the New Moon in Taurus
- First, start by blending the abundance herbal blend. Sage your space and open sacred space. Ground your energy and place herb one by one into a bowl or mortar and pestle to be ground. As you mix, setting the intention to bring physical and financial abundance your way. Enchanting the herbs and speaking prosperity to them as you blend. Then add in the glitter and magnetic sand. Finally add the shredded dollar bill.
- Then when finished, you may store this mix in a glass jar. Be sure to label this mix and date it, so you know when it was made. You can take from this to dress candles, burn a pinch over charcoal, or add to a magical abundance bath or floor wash to bring clients all year long.
For those of you who wish to take this and make an oil:
- Fill your amber bottle halfway with your herbal mix. Then adding in the magnetic sand, the glitter, and the shredded dollar bill. If it’s tough to get in the bottle, use a funnel. Next, add the small pieces of citrine and pyrite. This is to help the oil align with abundance vibes.
- Drop-in 5 drops of either Ginger or Orange essential oil.
- Finally, fill the second half of the bottle with pure almond oil. Seal up the bottle and shake several times to mix the herbs and oil. This oil will take several weeks to “Set up.” You may strain the herbs around 8-12 weeks, or let it sit and develop over time. Regardless, this is a potent money magic oil. You may dress candles with a few drops, or anoint money or altar offerings with the oil. It can be used to boost monthly finances or rubbed on the palms to bring business in.
- You may anoint a green or white candle, along with your abundance manifestations on the New Moon, to get the process started!
