Analysis

Emotions may runneth over this Full Moon. With the intense amount of inner planets in Virgo opposing Neptune and the Moon in Pisces, things are bound to feel a bit overwhelming, or critical. Virgo and Pisces rule the 6th and 12th house, where we frequently need to examine further or let go of something in our lives. This may ultimately come out of the blue. There may be a conscious or unconscious struggle going on within us. Expect this to become highlighted or exposed at the time of this Full Moon. With this lunar transit, we learn not only to seek balance but to get real about the situations before us. Is it possible not everything is what it seems?

Venus and Mercury sit somewhere around the critical 29-degree point, suggesting essential conversations that may involve some constructive criticism or sensible decisions in love or finances. Shortly after, on the 14th, they move into Libra for several weeks, perfecting our interactions with others. Somewhere at the end of October, there will be a test to see if you’re applying yourself and sticking to the intentions set at the time of this Full Moon. We can then expect a few weeks to work on our relationships, and find a win-win solution for all parties involved. Then, at that point, the chips will fall where they may. This will be the last Full Moon before the Fall Equinox, setting us up for the next two weeks, helping find balance and harmony before the critical Pluto squares begin.

Mars seems to be the real star of this show. With an incredible amount of aspects to Neptune, as well as Saturn and Pluto, I believe this adds an extra bit of intensity to this lunation. Mars being our physical drive, the body, heat, metal, sharp objects. With its current standing in Virgo, in opposition to Neptune, all of the subjects, as mentioned above, should be especially monitored. They say “drinking and driving don’t mix,” and it ESPECIALLY doesn’t with this Full Moon. Prescription medications, health issues, psychological or mental disorders are much more subject to having problems now as well. Pisces rules most all of these realms and will amplify feelings in the days leading up to the Full Moon. An uninterrupted meditation or spiritual practice will be essential to keep grounded. Exhaustion and mental fatigue are also going to create a bit of a Full moon hangover.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. As long as one is practicing being sympathetic to others, and willing to take space and retreat when necessary, you’re going to be okay. With Jupiter’s connection to all of this, we can expect some magnification of something for the higher purpose of enduring an important soul lesson. We may be more so aware of possible deception, secrets, or co-dependent tendencies and efficiently move through them later in the month. Watch out for misunderstandings or miscommunications. Some will be likely to be much more sensitive than usual and lash out in passive-aggressive ways. Lend a helping hand to others in need, but maintain healthy boundaries. Much about the Virgo Pisces axis is about superseding crisis and being of service.

The cosmos heavily support spiritual work and intuitive development at this Moon. It’s an excellent time to practice any water magic, tarot reading, ceremonial work, etc. Because so much of the full moon energy has us feeling a bit out of it, choosing to let your intuition lead the way may be the best way to navigate. If situations arise that make you a bit unsure, or fear-ridden,  take a step back. Pisces believes reflection and time alone to review may be the best option. More so than most Full Moons, Pisces is linked to the dream state. An answer may come to you in a dream or vision. Trust what your intuition is telling you, it will all begin to make sense in just a few weeks.

Ritualistic Inspirations

Herbs/ Incense: Sage, Angelica, California Poppy, Lemon

Symbols: The fish, The Ocean, Neptune, feet, toes, or pineal gland

Crystals: Aquamarine, fluorite, sapphire, amethyst, selenite

Color: Turquoise or light green

Try This:

Ritual Sea Salt Full Moon Bath Scrub

You will need:

  • 1/4 cup organic coconut oil (solid)
  • Three drops of lemon or Ylang Ylang oil
  • 1/2 cup coarse sea salt
  • an airtight container with a lid
  • a small amethyst or fluorite crystal
  • White candle
  • Your choice of incense

 Steps:

  1. On the night of the full moon mix ingredients as mentioned above in a bowl. Burn a white candle and incense while creating this product. I also suggest listening to nature sounds from the sea.
  2. While mixing the contents, focus your intention and breath. The purpose is to create a purifying scrub, that will dissolve any negative emotions, habits, vibes, or pattens.
  3. When you’re finished mixing, move the contents of the scrub to the jar. Place the small crystal in the center of the scrub and close the lid.
  4. Leave the jar under the moonlight at the time of the Full Moon to charge overnight.
  5. Keep this scrub nearby or for a bath to cleanse in the weeks ahead. The scrub will keep the energy infused and charged with the Full Moon. Store out of direct sunlight.

**Pro witch tip:

  • Make a decent size jar; it will easily keep well for several months. That way, you have a powerful energy cleanser as needed. This scrub can be made on any full moon.
  • Scrub your third eye, back of the neck, and heart chakra with this mixture as needed to remove emotional or energetic fatigue.
