April 2019 Horoscopes

Welcome to Your April Horoscope Overview!

The month kicks off with a fiery New Moon in Aries on April 5th. This is an excellent time to get right with yourself and set new personal goals for the year ahead. The New Moon will be making some challenging aspects to Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn, so expect some push back or power struggles from others. We’ll be feeling eager to break free, just check your ego at the door. Saturn always brings reality checks, and with Pluto in the mix, it's possible to get a slap in the face. This energy continues through April 10th, when the Sun makes an exact square to Saturn. When it comes to Saturn, he truly means well. He just wants what's best for you. So any delays are merely a sign of needing to be patient and abiding by the laws of the universe. That same day Jupiter rolls back and starts his retrograde for the next few months, asking us to dig deep and find our own personal truth or faith. In doing so, we open up to channels of higher understanding and fortune.

On the 11th of the month, Jupiter will make a challenging square to Mercury in Pisces creating some confusion. Thankfully Mercury is now finished with the retrograde but is still creeping out of the shadow period. Mercury has a tendency to be a bit rocky on the tail end, so be mindful of communication then. The 13th and 14th also offer a bit of a mixed bag astrology wise. On one hand, we have the Sun in Aries squaring sinister Pluto, bringing up more power struggles. On the other hand, we quickly move into the Sun trine Jupiter the very next day, offering some sort of resolutions and efficient solutions to problems from the days prior.

Brace yourself for the SECOND Libra Full Moon on the 19th. This moon is debuting at a significant 29 degrees. If you review what was going on during the Full Moon in March, this may be a dramatic continuation and conclusion happening for you in a specific area of your life. 29 is the Karmic number connected to Saturn, suggesting major completions at a soul level. If this is all Latin to you, you may benefit from checking in with an astrologer and getting a reading. Important things are wrapping up now. The 22nd of the month the Sun makes its annual conjunction with the wild child Uranus. This is a day to expect the unexpected, and take note of the sudden insights that may happen in a flash. Uranus is innovation, and in Taurus, it’s showing up where we need to work smarter, not harder.

On the 24th Pluto also starts his several month journey going retrograde. When outer planets like this turn retrograde, don’t expect sudden upsets (like Mercury). These periods of a planet turning inward are always long and slow ingrained changes. Pluto will be working hard with Saturn, alchemizing something significant. It’s making a very rare conjunction with the Karmic south node. Its purpose is to show you where certain things in your life are in flux, and for good reason; it may be broken or toxic for you. Lean on the north node in Cancer, and pay close attention to feelings.  Mars will be making a square to Neptune around the 27th, creating some low energy and feelings of discouragement. Shortly after on the 29th, Saturn joins this retrograde as well. This is giving you the chance to review what effort you’ve put into long term plans since early 2018. Saturn rules time, so bear in mind you’re only about half of the way through long terms goals that come to fruition in 2020. Give yourself credit for how far you’ve come. Like the goat, you gotta keep moving up the mountain step by step. You’re making progress, soon enough you’ll see it.

Aries

Tarot Card: Two of swords: Anxiety and defensiveness

This is a significant month for you. It seems like everything is falling into place. The real focus is on YOU, and what you want. Don’t be afraid to take the lead and stand out. With planets moving into your sign this month you’ll find yourself a lot more self-assured than usual. The New Moon is lighting up your personal sector. It’s a good time for setting new intentions for yourself and reflecting on where you’d like to see yourself physically later this year. Pay close attention to your body. Business opportunities can fall from the sky, just be sure you keep an open mind. Avoid any flare-ups with superiors or bosses. Mid-month there’s a likelihood you’ll have to agree to disagree. The full moon in Libra at the end of the month will be a tipping point for relationships. With Mercury in Aries, you’ll be able to speak your mind. Just be aware what you say now will really pack a punch, and may very well terminate relationships. Choose your words wisely.

Taurus

Tarot Card: The Star: Recovery and healing

For the first half of the month you may find yourself retreating a bit more than usual. Take time to meditate, sleep in, or give yourself some quiet time, otherwise, you may feel a bit on edge. Something about your inner security is changing, and the way you view partnerships is about to shift. Reflect on what other people do for you this month. The New Moon is striking a major chord when it comes to closure or endings. It’s possible you’re dealing with frustration or some sort of resentment. Remember that not everyone deserves a response, sometimes the best option is walking away. Checking in with a spiritual counselor or healer may be just what the doctor ordered. The Full Moon brings you opportunities to be more health-minded, and build a daily routine. Hard work will pave the way for welcomed results.

Gemini

Tarot Card: Four of Wands: Breaking free of routine

Opportunities to make new friends and pursue networking events pop up this month. If you’re looking to expand your social horizons or just plain have fun this is your month. The New Moon is setting the stage for new tech-savvy or chatty people. It’s possible that someone you keep running into makes a reappearing act, and you’re sights are set on getting closer. Perhaps a friendship becomes something more this month around the time of the Full Moon. True love, creativity, or children are on your mind. Working with a partner is key this month, so team up and get ahead of the curve for any presentations. Your finances are really starting to come full circle for you, and you’re more aware of a budget or partners finance more than ever. Tackling this may bring you closer, and help plan for long term future goals.

Cancer

Tarot Card:  Ace of Coins: Health and abundance

one word: CAREER. Set your goals high this month at the time of the New Moon, it’s taking place in your career sector and setting the stage for your own personal endeavors. If you’re looking to get the attention of bosses or superiors, this is all possible now. The trick is to better balance your health, routine, or state of mind. Jupiter is helping you get better organized, keep a calendar. Look out for yet another Full Moon later in the month in your home and family zone. It’s possible there could be some emotional upsets, changes in living situations, or final decisions in regards to how to handle a family member. If it’s issues with partnerships that crop up, it’s important to be aware of any manipulation or guilt trips they’re laying on you. This is a big red flag for partnerships that have overstayed their welcome. Keep your cool at all costs, because this too shall pass.

Leo

Tarot Card: The High Priestess: Intuition and trust in your visions

You may find yourself wishing for a vacation. I know works had you bogged down, but the truth is unless you plan it, you’ll never take the time. Use the New Moon early in the month to set intentions for travel, education or spiritual development. It’s possible if you can’t find others to go, you make the decision to visit somewhere on your own. Don’t be afraid to walk alone, you may find you sort of like it. The Full Moon brings out your truths, where suddenly you find yourself having a repeat conversation with others. If you’ve had trouble finding the words last month, it appears now you will have a voice. Keep a check on your work/ life balance this month. If you’re overworking, you’re very prone to physical exhaustion or not giving your all at the office. Consider a mental health day.

Virgo

Tarot Card: Death: Beginnings and endings, rebirth

If true love is what you aim for, be prepared to give up all you’ve known thus far. Sometimes the willingness to embrace the unknown and surrender is the only way. Many of you have been going through it with partners in recent months. If you’ve found yourself in a state of starting over, it’s ok. This month is all about transformation and the willingness to be reborn. The New Moon is in your area of emotional transformation, debt, and karma. Surrender to whatever has massive power over you. The Full Moon brings your sense of self-worth and security to the table. Major things can happen that bring you some sort of financial support. Use your creative hobbies as an outlet for self-expression, there’s something brewing that’s waiting to be shown to the world.

Libra

Tarot Card: Ace of Swords: Communications and clear boundaries

This is more or less a continuation of whatever flared up for you in March. Expect big drama or BIG breakthroughs. The Sun and lunar cycles are bringing your attention to some sensitive areas in relationships. This new moon is all about how you relate to others and clearing the slate. If there’s been some conflict, expect Jupiter to help you communicate more effectively. There may be some push back emotionally and you’ll have to sort out whether or not partnerships are beneficial for you in the long run. Talking to siblings and journaling can bring some insightful revelations to make better decisions. Pay attention to the Full Moon, it’s the second in your sign. This should bring sudden conclusions and drama with a partner. Don’t participate in power plays, sometimes the only way to handle things is by walking away. Respect and crystal clear communication is a necessity for you to be committed to someone.

Hang tight, this gets better in May. You may have some psychic insights or symbolic dreams about another around the Full Moon. If you need closure, get it. Don’t wait for others to give it to you. Check in with a trusted spiritual advisor or counselor if you need some confirmation.

At the time of the new moon commit to getting rolling on some creative endeavors. Making art this month may be just what the doctor ordered. I know you’re still in the process of managing your budget, but being creative doesn’t have to break the bank. Pluto will be working overtime with Saturn the next few months to get your money right. Focus on ways to save for long term goals and big purchases. Step out around the Full Moon with friends, just avoid the drama at all costs. If a friend is going through it, be there but don’t get sucked in. Be your spontaneous self and take them to get away from it all.
