Analysis: This is going to be a Full Moon for the books, kids. Pay close attention to events taking place the days revolving around this lunation. As with all Full Moons, the Sun and Moon make their monthly opposition to one another. This brings matters to a head, frequently bringing about realizations and dramatic completions. I haven't addressed in my previous articles why observing New and Full Moons is important. You see, as an astrologer, we look at planetary "returns." Astrology is the study of both natal or transiting planets and their cycles. While it's nearly impossible to have the EXACT same planetary aspects repeat, all planets do return to similar degrees at one time or another. Like a birthday (solar return), the Sun returns to the very degree it was when you were born. Astrologers have the ability to not only study the past but plan for the future. We utilize these types of charts to have a better understanding of the energies coming. For baby beginner astrology students, sometimes starting by studying the lunar charts at the time of a New or Full Moon can be an excellent way to get the hang of understanding astrology transits in action. This month would be a great month to look into it, as I am SURE some of the energies this Full Moon displays will indeed play out in your life. A New or Full moon set of aspects often unfolds over a two to four week period. While New Moons indicate WHERE we are going, or WHAT is happening, Full Moons tell us how this energy rises and plays out.
This Full Moon is in the fixed air sign of Aquarius. This quirky, social, fun-loving sign is all about seeing the bigger picture. Often confused for a water sign, it's an intellectual air sign. Known as the water bearer, not for its emotions per-say, but merging the collective energies and emotions with the great collective. The Star card in the Tarot represents Aquarius. This is the card that comes shortly after The Tower and is seen as welcomed peace and serenity after a crisis. It's safe to say this Full Moon may deliver us a bit of sweet and salty emotions. Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius, and in the case of this Full Moon is the start of the show (pun intended). Uranus is the eccentric and unpredictable loose wire in the room. In the sign of Taurus, it rattles and rolls anything having to do with stability and values. There may be a bit of a curveball coming your way in the days surrounding this Full Moon in regards to relationships or finances. Both the Sun and Moon find themselves in a challenging, stressful T-square to Uranus, indicating a pressure that's likely to blow. When these angles occur, especially in fixed signs, the wheels seem rigid and harder to turn. But trust, they'll turn. It just may take a bit of a nudge. Squares to Uranus can bring about intense and compulsive feelings. People may act obsessively or possessively. Mood swings and the need for stimulation is expected. The light side is: it won't be short of excitement and fresh new opportunities.
Mercury sits in Cancer at the time of this Full Moon, standing across from Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This is an indication of speed bumps and limitations ahead. Getting along, or agreeing won't be likely be during this Full Moon. It is bursting at the seams of polarized views and verbal disagreements. Saturn in Capricorn likes to restrict and ensure that we follow a specific set of protocols. Likely, there will be delays in both government and political decisions, leading the way for a clash of opinions. Watch for harsh words and misunderstandings. The better we avoid these divisive tendencies, the easier the week ahead will become. Take your time and thoroughly read through any contracts or agreements. Pay close attention, as the devil will be in the details or fine print. On the other hand, this aspect is an excellent indication of sticking to goals, especially long term goals, and persistence. In the end, Aquarius wants unity and the best for all parties involved. Generally, Full Moon's in Aquarius brings about a positive worldly change. We are likely to be enthralled in radical changes taking place across the board globally. Connecting to friends may seem more important than ever. You may find yourself wanting to become apart of a much larger cause. Cultural and social diversity proves to be important in the days revolving around this Full Moon. It isn't until we start viewing ourselves as a part of a larger collective that we take steps in the right direction.
Mars joins the intensity with his early squares to Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn. This is likely to bring about quarrels and explosive tensions. As I've said in my recent monthly scopes, steer clear of violence and confrontations. Fanning the flames isn't recommended with this Full Moon. These hot energies are slightly tapered with positive aspects between Jupiter and Neptune. This allows us to examine the bigger issues at hand. Spirituality and sensitivity will be helping hands. Thankfully, Venus meets with the north node this day. This is cosmic realignment, allowing the planet of love to meet with destiny. In recent months Venus has been retrograde, unable to move freely in the skies. With kisses to the north node, we get a glimpse of what lies ahead for us. There is an emphasis on love, especially in the form of communication. Join a cause you believe in. Call a friend and ask them how they are. Participate in an online forum. Join a network and collaborate with other like-minded beings. Pick up trash on the beach. Get beamed up by a space ship. Fly your freak flag, don't worry about everyone else. Trust the process; you're getting to where you need to go.

As winter envelops us in its quiet, reflective embrace, two profound symbols emerge in the cultural and cosmic landscape: the astrological sign of Capricorn and the winter solstice. Each holds unique archetypes and lessons, yet they intertwine beautifully to offer guidance and inspiration for navigating the darker, colder months of the year. By exploring their historical, astronomical, and astrological significance—as well as cultural practices worldwide—we can find meaningful ways to enrich our wintertime experience.
As August and the beginning to the end of summer unfolds, the interplay between astrological happenings and ancient traditions creates a powerful tapestry of influence on our lives. This month, we witness the convergence of Mercury retrograde, Leo season, and the Euro pagan holiday Lammas, each carrying its own set of energies and implications that can influence, help, and hinder us.
