This new moon has all the signatures of rebirth and fresh starts… It is in the Aries, the 1st house sign, at 0 degrees—the “youngest” degree of 30 in a sign, on a new moon. This is the zodiacal new year! So even if you had a clunky start to the new year, this is an energy portal that allows a big “reset” button smash for fresh starts.
Speaking of fresh starts, one of HUGEST transits of the year, and in recent years, is Pluto’s move into Aquarius. Pluto has been in Cap for 15 years… That’s a LONG time, y’all, especially for the planet of power who gut renovates our metaphorical houses, vacuuming, and lysol-ing everything for the purpose of personal empowerment and transformation. It has been doing all this heavy duty work in one particular house for you, and is now gathering its cleaning supplies, laying what has died to rest, and cheering on the rebirth that is unfolding until it retrogrades mid-year. Now, you can prepare for new Pluto energy in a new house (see intro for your house). Pulling all of that in with this new moon in a rebirth house seems extremely significant. With transformation comes healing, with change comes growth and empowerment.
For many healing the Witch Wound from transgenerational trauma instigated during the Burning Times will feel activated now, but in an empowering, beautiful way. Witches have reclaimed fire, the master classical element that transmutes, cleanses, and allows for new growth. For everyone, no matter your gender, lean into the fire and creativity of the Divine Feminine through the veil of Aries’ bold and passionate rebirth spirit. Allow the darkness of new moon increase your intuition and extra-senses to claim the power within you. Return to that power and do ritual of any fame to commemorate your personal rebirth and the honoring of the divine women that came before you. Even if you do not have positive experiences in your family of origin with women, know that there are Divine Feminine ancestors of the light who are cheering for you and loving you so deeply now, the way you are coming into loving yourself more. I’ve probably said this line before from a beloved professor who is an amazing therapist and dance/movement therapy coach, but I love it and tell it to all my clients: BE HEALTHY SELFISH.

Throughout history, the name Cupid, or Eros, has been synonymous with romance, desire, and playful mischief. This cherubic archer, often depicted as a winged boy with a bow and quiver full of arrows, has roots far deeper than modern Valentine’s Day iconography. Originating in ancient mythology, Cupid’s story intertwines love and fate, often with dramatic and unexpected consequences. But who exactly is Cupid, and what is the lore behind this mischievous god of love?
