Analysis

This is probably one of my favorite New Moon's in all of 2019. It’s a beautiful and optimistic New Moon in the mutable sign of Sagittarius. I expect a great deal of you will benefit from its blessings in the coming weeks ahead. This will be THE time to practice optimism and release any fears, especially when it comes to learning to see the silver lining. Sagittarius rules the areas of the higher mind, connection to our beliefs or other cultures. Many of you will be choosing happiness at the time of the New Moon. Sagittarius is known for it's generous and comedic nature, so learn to roll with the punches and step outside of your comfort zone. Mantras, meditation, and spiritual pursuits will flourish during this lunation. There's a great deal of energy from Chiron. This is where we have opportunities to heal and receive any blessings the universe has in store for us. Mercury will be speaking to both Saturn and Neptune, allowing us to be brave and potentially travel. Thankfully the Retrograde is now over; however, expect it to take until about December 7th to completely move out of the Mercury shadow.

Venus will be making some lovely aspects with it's trine to Uranus. In the stable sign of Capricorn, she becomes practical and committed. This is the perfect energy to analyze financial or love related goals. Businesses do well under this transit generally, so it will be a great time to begin any professional expansions. The aspects Venus will make to Uranus in Taurus provides new and innovative ways to love, or evolve financially. Venus will square Chiron, reminding us it's our job to facilitate our own healing. This will drive home the message; personal healing isn't a job that should be left solely to others. Mars will be in his home sign of Scorpio, where he lends an extra helping hand and some backup motivation. Mars is a fearless and passionate one in Scorpio. Mars will also be in positive aspect to the North Node in Cancer, facilitating some sort of push. One bit of caution; Mars will oppose Uranus, and it's likely to create some intense situations. Some will be feeling restless or reactionary. This opposition brings about the most unexpected. It's best if you feel pushed, by a person or a situation, slow down. Take your time, especially while driving. Some of you may experience this feeling of having to change, be that personally, or some sort of plan. Observe.

Those of you looking to set intentions for continuing education, or higher levels of learning; this New Moon will be assisting you on your path. If you're currently looking for a date to set an intention for travel, publishing, or some sort of new legal endeavor, this is equally supportive. The truth is, you really can't go wrong with this New Moon. This is probably the time to start gathering your New Year's intentions and getting them in order a bit early. Since this New Moon is so heavily tied to expansion and burning it’s way through obstacles, you may want to focus your intentions around these topics. Work with fire and intention. A great deal of change is happening now. Participating in group spiritual endeavors can be extra blissful and lend an extra manifesting hand. On this New Moon, I encourage you to practice blind optimism; manifest your wildest dreams. Because even if you miss, you're likely to land amongst the stars.

New Moon in Sagittarius Wish Ritual

You will need:

  • A red candle (any size)
  • Gold glitter or magnetic sand
  • Matches
  • Sage and ground Nutmeg

Optional; candles lit in lanterns are exceptionally great symbolically for Sagittarius! So is anything connected to archery, compasses, or the forrest.

  1. Call on Sacred Space, setting the intentions for a pure space to conduct your ritual in.
  2. Take your candle and dress it with a few drops of an attraction/ manifestation oil of your choice. If you do not work with those, then use a few drops of olive oil.
  3. Drop a pinch of ground up sage and ground nutmeg into the candle. Then add gold glitter/ magnetic sand.

  5. Sit and meditate with your candle and intentions. When you are ready, write them out on the paper with a pen. Then fold it towards you three times. Set this next to the candle on an altar space.
  6. Focusing on the breath, hold your candle in both hands, and close your eyes. Imagine all of your intentions coming quickly to you. Speak your plans out loud. Visualize open doors. When you are ready to light your candle, do so with a match. The allow it to burn completely. Be sure to use a fireproof holder or plate.

As we navigate the celestial currents of 2025, a unique astrological event awaits: both Venus and Mercury will be retrograde simultaneously. Venus will transition from Aries to Pisces during its retrograde, while Mercury will retrograde in Aries. This rare cosmic alignment offers a profound opportunity for introspection, reassessment, and personal growth. When these two influential planets appear to move backward in the sky, their retrograde energies prompt us to slow down and reevaluate critical aspects of our lives. While the experience may seem challenging, it ultimately serves as a chance to heal, reset, and reconnect with our true desires and intentions.
