Welcome to your October 2019 overview!
Oh, man, do we have a spooky month ahead. And by spooky I mean a whole lot of dealing with our demons. The month ahead kicks off with some Saturn Pluto squares. In astrology, when we see squares, this indicates some sort of “pressure” that needs to be worked out or transmuted. This is especially true with Pluto.
On the other hand, squares to Saturn indicate having to pump the brakes, even more so when it comes to matters of responsibility. This can often feel like not getting a break in certain areas of our lives. This energy can feel similar to what we dealt with back in April and July 2019. I promise you that anything that challenges you or feels like a setback this month is just Saturn ensuring that you’re doing things the proper way. Boundaries and diving deeper into topics of intimacy will be huge themes. Planets in Scorpio midmonth can have an exceptionally intense ceiling, feeling more possessive or jealous than usual. Around mid-month we are also likely to see unexpected shake-ups in love or finances with Venus in opposition to Uranus in Taurus. Some of the things that come up for you now may be shocking. These planetary aspects are asking us to grow and evolve but leave fear behind. Many of us will likely be reflecting on some intense or psychological traumas that we are ready to do away with. I encourage you to give up the death grip wherever Scorpio falls in your natal chart. The Aries full moon on the 13th creates some challenging aspects to cardinal signs, asking us to reevaluate our boundaries and take responsibility for our own lives, even if that means doing so alone. On the 23rd the Sun enters Scorpio paving the way for a very colorful November. This new moon inspires us to transform something about our lives. October 28th through the 31st seems especially strange and unusual, while the sun opposes Uranus with Mercury and Venus in Scorpio. On the 31st of the month, all hallows eve, mercury rolls back and starts his retrograde journey. What a weird way to spend the end of October! Don’t be surprised if ghosts from your past reappear seeking a second chance. Expect to spend most of November reevaluating what you’re ready to bury in your life. As with all retrogrades, do your best to try to move, sign contracts, or make major electronic purchases before the 31st if it all possible.

Aries
Tarot Card: Five of Wands- Conflicts, disagreements, competition.
Caution ahead! This is a month to really lay some boundaries and stay in your own lane. Some people are going to test you. Take a good hard look at what is and is not working in your life. For some of you, this may be communication, for others, it may be relationships. Regardless, you need to take a look at how you interact with other people. Are you having challenges being open to other people? The universe is trying to show you the energy and the support that others can bring you if you allow them to. Don’t go too spend-crazy, racking up debt this month. Situations will unfold that will require you to review your finances in some way. You may be feeling more sexual than usual, and exploring getting closer with someone special. If you can practice letting your guard down, it will do you some good. This is a great month to practice balancing your time equally between work, your relationships, and the relationship you hold with yourself.
Taurus
Tarot Card: Five of Pentacles- Isolation or being left behind.
Expect some volatility this month. There’s going to be an unexpected situation in partnerships that you cannot avoid. Remember, change is inevitable, and the more that you’re open to clearing the path in front of you, the easier your journey becomes. Practice being open-minded, not everything is black-and-white. Perhaps you’re thinking about making some changes in your workspace or even in your physical health. If you’re looking to shake things up a little bit; re-organize, declutter, or change up your workout routine. Unusual partners are likely to appear midmonth, and it may surprise you how attracted you are. Do your best not to get caught up in moving too quickly. You need to take your time and really get to know this person and feel it out before you give your heart away. Don’t fear being alone so severely that you’re willing to settle. You’re likely to see sides of them that may be manipulative or controlling if you’re looking closely, so you’ve been warned.
Gemini
Tarot Card: The King of Swords- Intellectual, authority, strength.
I want you to focus on doing everything that brings you joy! You’re going to be feeling much more creative than usual. Spend time with friends, they are likely to remind you of how amazing you are. If you’ve been focusing more on a hobby or a creative project, it’s expected to become more of a focus in your life. You may find yourself around children, or childlike energy. This is to aid in your creative process and help you get in touch with your inner child. Keep an eye on your health this month, you may start to notice where are you haven’t been as proactive as you usually are. If you’re feeling more exhausted than usual, take a look at your diet and see what can be altered. You may be feeling more giving than usual, and want to lend a helping hand to a worthy cause. Expect some rockiness in your friendships at the end of the month, as you find a difference of opinion doesn’t sit well with you. If it’s time to set a friendship free, so be it.
Cancer
Tarot Card: Ace of Wands- Creative and inspiring new beginnings.
Your mind may be heavily focused on your family early in the month. Perhaps someone is visiting or staying with you. There’s likely to be some changes going on either on the homefront or within the family itself. Try to keep your cool and get along with everyone involved. There’s some temporary pressure here until the end of the month. Watch out for your work-life balance, sometimes burning the candle at both ends doesn’t necessarily produce the best work. If you have realizations about your line of work, and find you’re unhappy; this is a sign from the universe. You’re being asked to connect with your heart’s desires to find a more for filling occupation. You will likely be feeling more romantic than usual, and seeking some quality intimate time with a partner of choice. Spending time being creative with a sweetheart can be a nice distraction from some of the issues mentioned above. Open your heart to them and let them see your vulnerability.
Leo
Tarot Card: 10 of Wands- Burden, stress, or opposition.
Creativity and passion run sky-high. You’ll notice that you’re more playful than usual. People love that about you, so expect to gain quite a bit of attention this month. Focus on bringing joy to all of your endeavors. If you’ve got your eye on someone and are ready to express your feelings, just take it slow. I can see a situation developing where your feelings become very intense. This could be a little too much for someone you’re just starting to get to know. There will be opportunities to either travel or plan a trip with others. This could be a fantastic opportunity for you to expand your horizons! With the amount of work and schedule obligations you had recently, this may be just what the doctor ordered. You may be considering making some changes in transportation or gadgets. Siblings may play a role this month for some reason, so if one reaches out to you, be sure to lend a helping hand. If you’re considering moving or relocating, new seeds are being planted.
Virgo
Tarot Card: Justice- Truth, fairness, or equality. Finding balance.
What have you been putting off? If you’ve got a laundry list of things to do, this is the month to get to it. Communication is vital this month, and there are some people that you need to have a conversation with but you may not be ready. You’ll need an outlet for all of your frustration and emotions. Something has likely been out of balance for some time. Utilize the spare time that you have to make some updates, wrap up some loose ends around the house. This is not the time to hold grudges or bottle up your emotions. To avoid any miscommunications or conflict, be sure to thoroughly think everything through before you approach someone. There’s going to be some situations that may trigger you and remind you of past traumas. Time spent in meditation and reflection can be very beneficial. There’s a possibility of a sudden change in travel plans, or perhaps even opportunities for continuing education. This is the universe sprinkling little opportunities of expansion at your feet, take them.
Libra
Tarot Card: Death- Endings and beginnings, renewal.
More than most months this year, this is a time to really be in alignment with your boundaries. The truth is, many of you are going to go through some challenges this month. You have to first and foremost be in alignment with yourself, and respect yourself. There’s going to be situations where you will not be feeling a lot from other people. Someone who does not communicate effectively, or disrespects you should not and will not be tolerated. There’s a difference between being mean and being direct. Don’t forget that. Maintaining your optimism and enthusiasm is so very important. There are going to be moments where you’re just gonna have to tell yourself it’s going to be OK, and to keep putting one foot in front of the other. There may be some family conflicts that pop up as well. Just move through this pressure with ease, and know that it will be over by next month. Making serious decisions in relationships is inevitable, choose wisely. Finances look lovely by the end of the month and suggest new promising opportunities.
Scorpio
Tarot Card: 8 of Swords- Isolation, disappointment, or feeling trapped.
The keyword for this month is; slow. You’re going to be feeling more passionate or impulsive than usual. There is an intense amount of planets in Scorpio. Really take time to slow down, process and think everything through before making any decisions. Those of you who don’t do this are likely to come off brash or insensitive. Expect some unexpected situations when it comes to partnerships. Remember that you are only in control of two things: yourself and your actions. Do your best not to jump to any conclusions, otherwise you’ll end up putting your foot in your mouth. Your Spidey senses are on high alert, and you may sense that someone is trying to deceive you, or has a hidden agenda. It’s true. However, you need to plan strategically. Blowing this information out of the water isn’t necessarily going to make you look good or feel any better. Just distance yourself from them, and down the road it will make sense why they had to go. By doing this now, you’re avoiding some serious drama.
Sagittarius

Your friendship sector is beaming! This is an excellent time to be reviewing your personal aspirations. You may be feeling more dreamy or optimistic than usual. Friends may be having celebrations, and it’s a good idea that you join. These people are going to help you feel more inspired and explore other ways of thinking. If you’re thinking about joining a new group, or online association, do so. You have a lot to say, and your voice needs to be heard, so speak out and find your soul tribe. The second half of the month's focus is all about detoxing and releasing bad habits. Look to traveling or meditation as ways to help you go through this process. In the weeks ahead there will be several situations where you will have to let certain things go. Right now you’re doing a lot of clearing to prepare for this and make space for the new. Financially things are only going to get stronger as we get closer to the end of 2019. You can make a living by doing something creative. Children prove to be inspiring, bringing you closer to your hidden talents.
Capricorn
Tarot Card: Ace of Swords- Focus, clarity, victory.
All eyes are on you at work this month! You may be in charge of something, or have some sort of new responsibility. People are becoming aware of your talents and see your ability to lead others. Do your best to be present in the workspace, and impress those around you. People will see you differently in some way. It’s essential that you leave a good impression. Slowly you’re becoming more upbeat and optimistic, it should feel good. Look into workshops or continuing education if possible. The second half of the month gives you the energy to take on a large project. You’ll have extra power to get it done. It’s a good idea to start getting ready to declutter or purge your space. Some of you may be moving in the months ahead, and you’ll be glad that you started this process now. You’ll be far too busy at the end of the year to do this. Friendships prove extra positive, you’ll find yourself reconnecting with friends you haven’t seen for some time. They’ll be glad to have you back.
Aquarius

There’s so much expansion this month! You’re excited to move forward and continue your education in some way. Some of you may find yourself traveling. This is an excellent time to make some plans to visit a faraway place. You’ll be feeling extra philosophical and wanting to connect with other people. There’s going to be some deep thoughts about the true meaning of life taking place. Watch out because love may strike unexpectedly, and it will be profound in some way, almost like a soul connection. The second half of the month has you very career-minded. You have an opportunity to really get some exposure. Expect all sorts of good news and fruits of your labor’s. This is also a great time to start a new campaign or advertising investment. If you’re looking for a change, new opportunities will present themselves. Because you’re expanding your mind, you may also be looking into new languages or software. When it comes to making electronic purchases, make sure you do this before the 31st. Otherwise, you’re likely to regret buying a bunk product.
Pisces
Tarot Card: The Moon- Intuition, illusion, the subconscious.
There’s a lot of work going on within your subconscious this month. You’re in a transformational period. You may find yourself in a strange place, where you’re not quite who you used to be, but also not too sure who you’re becoming. That’s OK, this is temporary. I actually think it’s best to really sit in that and feel it. This is a very spiritual time for you where your intuition is growing stronger. You may be very focused on intimacy or joint finances. This month, you will be looking at the theme of security. What do you need physically, financially, or emotionally to feel safe? Don’t be surprised if you’re releasing subconscious fears or traumas. Studying psychology, or metaphysics can be very insightful! Check-in with an intuitive reader, or try your hand at astrology. Journaling could be an excellent exercise for you as well. Partnerships feel extra sexy. If you’re wanting to take the next step and grow closer, let your lover know. Come the end of the month you’re thriving, experiencing a growth in your finances, and receiving some good news about your future!
